Craftworx was born because we love our craft.

Our work draws on decades of experience designing, crafting, riding, and servicing custom wheels. When we started Craftworx, we had a clear vision of our ideal custom bicycle wheel company, a vision we have maintained ever since. Our focus is not only on building the best wheels in the world here in Fortitude Valley, Queensland, but also on fostering a deeper connection between the rider and their bike by welcoming them into the process of designing and building their custom wheels. Only custom can offer that connection. We know they will appreciate the intelligence, passion, meticulous attention to detail and quality materials that go into every wheelset we build.

WHAT WE DO

Custom building and wheel design

Every Craftworx wheeset is custom built for the owner, meaning that we will tune the design, handling, and ride to their exact needs. Our custom approach is based on decades of experience and recognizes that every cyclist is unique and that no single set of rules can or should determine a wheelsets design. Every design takes the rider’s body dimensions, riding style, previous experience, and future goals into account.

Precision Manufacturing

Modern technologies meet traditional craftsmanship. Despite being a company of just two people (you makes three), we have designed and built tens of thousands of custom wheelsets. This unmatched level of experience is reflected in the quality of construction, finish and ride dynamics of every wheelset we build. Craftworx refined building process is the benchmark for wheel building quality, guaranteeing absolute reliability and consistency. Every wheel is balanced to tolerances within 10/1000mm, less than the thickness of a human hair, an indication of both the accuracy of the equipment we use in our building process and applied skill. This level of precision applies to both the components we manufacture and every step in our process, and our clients can feel it in the ride.

The Ride

You may not be a Master Wheel Builder, wheel building may or may not be an existing skill set in your repertoire, but you have a real and genuine interest in investing the time and developing the skills needed to become truly great.
