New Sales Appointments: Groupe Sportif & TEBCO

Distributor Groupe Sportif has appointed a new territory sales manager for NSW, Peter Raillon.

It marks a return for Peter, who has served in a similar role with the Melbourne-based distributor, as part of his more than 20 years’ experience in the Australian bicycle and motocycle retail and wholesale industries.

Group Sportif spokesperson Mark Waldron said Peter has extensive knowledge of all of Groupe Sportif’s brands and will be a valuable resource for its customers.

Bicycle Peddler Partners with TEBCO

Melbourne-based distributor Bicycle Peddler has become the Victorian State sales representative for The Electric Bicycle Company (TEBCO).

Bicycle Peddler owner Adam Flanagan said there are a number of factors that led to the new partnership.

“A couple of our agents work for TEBCO as well and they put our name forward as a likely candidate,” Adam said.

“Our warehouses are closely situated – theirs in Cheltenham and ours in Moorabbin – and they sell bikes, while we sell parts and accessories.”

He said he also has a lot of respect for TEBCO business approach.

“They were among the first businesses to go to the Australian market with e-bikes and Tony continues to be so enthusiastic about his brand and each of his products,” Adam added.

“There’s a lot of guys in that lower-end e-bike space but not backing it up in the way TEBCO does.”

Adam has owned Bicycle Peddler since 2017, after previously working as the company’s first sales representative around a decade ago.

In between, he was the sales manager for Sheppard Cycles for Victoria, NSW and Tasmania.

Bicycle Peddler distributes lube, locks, tubes and eyewear and Adam said the TEBCO will be a valuable boost during a challenging time for the industry.

“It’s likely to continue to be a tough marketplace for the next 12 to 18 months, possibly longer,” he said.
