Selle Royal Group is Looking for a Major Investor

Selle Royal Group includes not just Selle Royal saddles, but also fi’zi:k, Brooks, Crank Brothers and PedAL ED.

It’s not yet clear what percentage of the company is up for sale. 2019 sales are projected to be 130 million Euro (A$211 million) and Ebitda (earnings before interest and depreciation) of 14.6 million Euro (A$24 million).

Preliminary offers are expected by mid-February 2020.

Selle Royal was founded 60 years ago by the Bigolin family in northern Italy.

Over 90 percent of the company’s sales are generated internationally through a multi-brand/multichannel and multi-segment business model. Selle Royal Group runs four production plants which are based in Italy, China, Brazil and the United Kingdom as well as five R&D centers.

Selle Royals brands a range of different distributors in Australia. It’s far too early to predict if this will be affected by the sale.
