We operate and control our own tours, placing the AllTrails brand at the forefront of the Australian cycle tour industry. About Our Tours:
Our tours are high-quality, fully-supported, multi-day tours from 4 days to 30 days in duration. Mostly road bike tours and rail trails which can average from 30km/day to 150km/day. We also do the odd MTB tour and walking tour. Our office is based in Melbourne but we run tours in all Australian states and territories. The majority of our tours are scheduled in Autumn and Spring with fewer tours in mid-winter and mid-summer.
About You:
We are looking for enthusiastic and responsible tour leaders who will have a passion for providing our clients with the best possible tour experience. You don’t necessarily have to have direct previous experience as a guide, but your work history should demonstrate you have the skills and passion to nail this position. On the job training will be provided and your commitment to adopting and maintaining high AllTrails standards while presenting a relaxed and affable demeanour will be highly regarded.
About the Position:
We are looking for part time Tour Leaders who can be out on tour 2-10 times in a year for a period of 4-30 days at a time. We are flexible in the arrangements, however you must commit to tours once scheduled. This is a great opportunity for individuals (or even a couple) with a flexible work-life balance, possibly semi-retired or just wanting to dial down full-time work commitments. Note that while you may be able to do some cycling on some tours, the regulatory requirements of running road tours necessitate that our guide roles are predominantly driver/vehicle based.
Essential Skills:
- Excellent customer service and focus.
- Energetic; tour days can be long.
- Proactive. Autonomous. Ability to problem solve and think on your feet.
- Manual vehicle licence preferred. Proficient driving skills and good driving record essential.
- Physically fit (capable of lifting/loading luggage and (e)bikes).
- First Aid and CPR qualified (can be arranged).
- Commercial passenger carrying accreditation (can be arranged. Requires Federal Police and Driving Record check and medical assessment).
- Can legally work in Australia and have own ABN.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience driving with, and reversing trailers.
- Good knowledge of bike maintenance (bike mechanic qualification is even better).
