Final Preparations for World Cycling Titles

Venues are taking shape for the 2022 World Road Cycling Championships, being held in Wollongong from this Sunday.
While more than 1,000 of the world’s top international cyclists are making their final preparations for the championships, many of the industry’s leading brands are also getting ready for one of the world’s biggest annual sporting events.
The championships’ headquarters in central Wollongong has been established, ready for an influx of trade displays, with the Shimano’s roadshow container already in place.
A global audience of around 300 million people is expected to watch the eight-day event, featuring competitors from more than 70 nations.
Competition in and around Wollongong kicks off with the elite men’s and women’s time trials on Sunday, followed by junior time trials the following day.
The road races start next Friday, concluding with the elite men’s race on Sunday 25th September.
