Riese & Müller Roll Out Subscription Service
Darmstadt, Germany
Global e-bike heavyweight Riese and Müller has announced it will be launching its own subscription service in Germany, with plans to roll the service out to its international markets.
The German manufacturer will offer a £49 fixed monthly price for its UBN Five, UBN Seven and Nevo e-bikes and Multitinker compact longtail cargo bike.
It will assess the success of the service in its domestic market, before rolling it out to other countries, including Australia, with timing dependent on addressing the issues of each market.
The announcement at Eurobike last month comes as Riese and Müller celebrates its 30th anniversary since founders Markus Riese and Heiko Müller launched the company with its full-suspension folding bike, the Birdy.
Riese & Müller also used Eurobike 2023 to launch its new Culture lightweight urban e-bike, powered by Bosch’s SX drive system and CompactTube 400 battery.
The Culture comes in two frame versions – a classic diamond frame and the Culture Mixte with a lowered top tube – both constructed with almost 50% recycled aluminium.
