SRAM Ends Longstanding Partnership with Echelon Sports

Brisbane, Queensland

SRAM has ended its partnership with its Australian distributor, Echelon Sports.

SRAM’s APAC director of sales, David Evans, issued a statement last month declaring: “After consideration of the current market conditions in Australia and the changing needs of the customer, SRAM has made the difficult decision to end our long-standing partnership with Echelon Sports as of 30 June 2023.

“The partnership started in 2007 when SRAM purchased Zipp to join the growing SRAM product portfolio, however, Echelon Sports have been part of the Zipp family since 2001.”

He said the commitment and effort by Echelon Sports to distribute SRAM and Zipp for more than 20 years grown the brand significantly in Australia.

“SRAM greatly values our close relationship over many years and thanks Echelon Sports, who have significantly contributed to our mutual growth due to their commitment, effort, and loyalty,” the statement continues.

“We want to thank Chris Langdon and his knowledgeable team at Echelon Sports and wish them continued success in their future endeavours.

“SRAM are committed to making the transition as smooth as possible for customers, with PSI Cycling remaining unchanged as our Australian distributor across all brands.”
