FE Sports Announces Exclusive Australian Distribution of Campagnolo
Brisbane, Qld
Brisbane based importer and wholesaler FE Sports released a statement on Thursday 13th July announcing that they would be the exclusive distributor of Campagnolo for the Australian market.
“We are excited to partner with Campagnolo and bring their exceptional cycling components to the Australian market,” said Darren Harper, General Manager of FE Sports. “This collaboration will enable us to provide our customers with access to a comprehensive range of existing components, as well as the very latest wireless group sets from Campagnolo.”
Meanwhile an unnamed spokesperson for Campagnolo said, “Our ambition is to see Campagnolo as the most desired component brand in the world. Globally we are working to establish valuable commercial relationships with the aim to inspire new riders to enjoy Campagnolo products. FE Sports will support our development in Australia with a renewed approach to IBD’s consistent with our brand positioning.”
Campagnolo’s primary Australian distributor for many years has been BikeSportz, although previous Latz Report Yearbooks have also listed BikeBug Trade and Cycling Projects as distributors along with De Grandi Cycles in earlier years.
Campagnolo was founded in 1933 and is currently run by Davide Campagnolo, who is only the third CEO in 90 years, following in the footsteps of his father Valentino and grandfather Tullio. The private family company has approximately 750 employees.
The media release from FE Sports solely relates to Campagnolo with no reference to the Fulcrum Wheels business that was also founded and owned by Campagnolo and distributed in Australia by BikeBug Trade.
