PURE Sports Nutrition Launched in Australia

NZ family-owned business PURE Sports Nutrition has signed with Melbourne-based distributor Bikecorp to introduce Australia to its range of natural products.

Brother and sister Simon and Marewa Kraak started PURE Sports Nutrition in 2012 after “failing to find sports nutrition products that sat well during training and racing”.

“Everything was artificial, full of colours and cheap ingredients,” Marewa said.

“No one made decent sports nutrition products, so we decided to make our own.”

Marewa is a qualified sports & exercise nutritionist, a former NZ representative rower and elite road cyclist.

Simon is a keen road cyclist, mountain biker and adventurer.

“Our starting point with PURE Sports Nutrition was putting the cost of ingredients aside and instead focusing on the sports science and nutrient quality of ingredients,” she said.

“This defined our whole business philosophy – premium sports nutrition made from the highest-quality natural ingredients.”

The range has grown to provide premium products for exercise and racing, with an emphasis on sports drinks and energy gels.

“We have been very lucky to find a reliable distribution partner in Bikecorp that shares our philosophy and values,” Marewa added.
