Echelon Return to Road Wheel Royalty
Mystic, US
Aero wheel specialist Princeton CarbonWorks has signed Echelon Sports as its new distributor in Australia.
The young US company heralded the new partnership as an “exciting new chapter in our journey of providing top-tier cycling products to the cycling market in Australia”.
Princeton CarbonWorks was founded by three elite rowers who turned cyclists and triathletes and over the past four years has developed some of ride cycling’s most aerodynamic and lightweight wheels.
It has been collaborating with multiple road time trial and track world champion Filippo Ganna, as well as the Team INEOS Grenadiers ProTour team.
Princeton CarbonWorks cofounder Marty Crotty said: “We continue to perform at the highest levels of the sport of cycling and triathlon, earning more and more recognition, and the attention of the global market.
“It is critical to build a global distribution network that can keep up with the strong demand we are experiencing, including in Australia, where we see huge potential for growth.”
The partnership is a quick return to premium road wheels for Echelon Sports, which was the distributor for Zipp for more than 20 years until SRAM, which owns Zipp, parted ways with Echelon earlier this year.
