Taipei Cycle ‘Rescheduled’ Due to Corona Virus
With the surging infection rate and death toll from the coronavirus, it seemed inevitable for more than a week before the press conference was finally held on Tuesday 11th February, that TAITRA, organisers of the huge annual Taipei Cycle would have no option but to cancel 2020’s show, which was due to be held from 4th to 7th March 2020.
Each year approximately 180-200 Australian bicycle trade members travel to Taiwan for Taipei Cycle.
Officially they have ‘rescheduled’ to run a much smaller show from 14th to 16th May 2020. However it remains to be seen if the virus situation is any better by that date and if this revised show will proceed.
