Italian cycling garment manufacturer Castelli has spent almost a century and a half at the head of the pack – as one of the industry’s most influential innovators and as the garment of choice for athletic royalty.

Fine tailor Vittore Gianni founded the company in Milan in 1876 and created garments for soccer clubs AC Milan and Juventus, as well as the Milan Ballet.

“We were looking for a fresh new look of custom clothing for our shop kit. Castelli has excelled in expectations with quality and price. We couldn’t be more happy with the service and delivery from Castelli.” River City Cycles, Brisbane.

Its status as a celebrated cycling brand started taking shape in the 1920s when Vittore created the first performance cycling clothing, for world road champion and five-time Giro winner Alfredo Binda.

A steady succession of industry-changing innovations and adherence to the best materials has ensured Castelli has since been worn by many of cycling’s biggest names.

“Our team are really happy with our Castelli kit and many have got extra items of non-team kit as the quality is so great.” ADX Depot / Every Cycling Club, Adelaide.

Now Castelli’s custom clothing service gives everyone the chance to benefit fully from the company’s knowledge, designs and quality.

It offers shops, clubs and event organisers the same kits worn by the pro teams – and with their own unique graphics.

All of Castelli’s fabrics are printed in-house, 40 years after the company pioneered the sublimation dye process so graphics could be printed directly onto fabric.

Castelli and its Australian distributor, Echelon Sports, can guide customers through the whole design and sizing process to help ensure the finished garments look and feel as good as its pro team kits.

Its Italian headquarters continues to use industry-leading equipment and high-quality colours to print the garments, which it also assembles in Europe.

Custom road, gravel and triathlon garments are available, in adults and kids sizes, including a large selection of winter kit options.

Minimum order quantities of 10 are required for most items, with price benefits for larger quantities and an eight-week lead time.

Customised shop kits bring numerous benefits for retailers, to build a strong sense of community among existing and potential customers and engage them as mobile billboards and advocates for the business.

The product differentiation also enables retailers to boost their margins and curb exposure to price wars by offering distinctive garments that aren’t available anywhere else.

Quality shop kits also help stores develop and project a particular style and image, to position the business more effectively within the market.

To maximise all those positive associations, it’s particularly important for the garments to be high quality, durable and very functional. ‘Dependable, comfortable and stylish cyclewear that leads the market’ translates to a ‘reliable and progressive store at the top of its game’.

Adelaide’s ADX Depot / Every Cycling Club is thrilled with its Castelli custom club kit.

While Castelli has a long and proven track record in creating high-end kit for professional and elite competitors, its custom options also include a variety of cuts and styles to suit a full range of riders – still with a focus on top quality.

Castelli offers a variety of templates to help get over the initial hurdle of starting the design process and, once the creative process is up and running, can perfectly match colours so the customer’s vision can be perfectly recreated in all its glory.

The custom range includes wind, rain and thermal jackets, as well as vests, base layers, arm and leg warmers, and accessories.

Castelli is distributed in Australia by Echelon Sports, which can assist customers throughout the process with garment design and sizing. Kit fits are available on request.
