First Look Outside Melbourne’s Newest Bike Shop

When this photo was taken on 7th May, two weeks before opening, the shop interior was completely bare, apart from some bike boxes on the floor.

On Monday 24th May, Melbourne’s newest bike shop opened its doors for the first time. Glow Worm Electric Bikes Melbourne is a sister shop to the long established Glow Worm Electric Bikes in Sydney which was founded in Marrickville in 2009.

The new Melbourne store is also in an inner-city location at 1/73-77 Wellington Street, Collingwood.

It’s on the ground floor of a large modern retail / commercial / apartment building that also faces Langridge St, about 1km north east of the CBD.

Paul Bullivant, who purchased Glow Worm Sydney in 2020, owns both stores. Glow Worm’s brands include AVE, Benno, Ezee, Focus, Kalkhoff, NCM, Orbea, Tern, Urban Arrow, XDS and Yuba.

They launched with an opening sale offering up to 15% off selected bikes.

This is the Melbourne home of Glow Worm Electric Bikes. The shop occupies the ground floor corner with the entrance facing Wellington St (on the right) and most of the shop front faces Langridge St (the row of windows to the left).
