CAKE Celebrates New Partnership with Deus Ex Machina

Cult motorcycle and lifestyle brand Deus Ex Machina has become the Australian distributor for a much younger but equally chic company, CAKE, a Swedish manufacturer of premium lightweight electric mopeds and motorcycles.

CAKE, whose range includes utilitarian mopeds for tradesmen, along with ultra-modern offroad motorcycles, declared the new partnership and strategic entry into the Australian market is a substantial expansion of CAKE’s distribution network.

Deus Ex Machina, which has stores in Sydney, Noosa and Byron Bay, will sell and service CAKE vehicles, while “driving the CAKE mission forward within Australia”.

“Deus Ex Machina embodies a culture of creativity, authenticity, and enthusiasm that aligns perfectly with our ethos. It’s a natural and exciting partnership,” CAKE founder and CEO Stefan Ytterborn said.

CAKE is currently expanding its distribution network with premium partners in various regions, including Europe, Asia, the Middle East, South America and Africa.

Deus Ex Machina was the brainchild of Dare Jennings, who also co-founded iconic Australian surf brand Mambo in the mid-1980s.

Dare said the partnership with CAKE offered a unique and sustainable alternative for Deus’s passionate community of enthusiasts.
