Whether it’s automobiles, protective gear or airlines, Scandinavian brands hold a strong reputation for safety. Established in 1958, Norwegian company Hamax follows suit with their premium range of child seats and bike trailers. They currently have two models within their bike trailer range, both offering adaptability to suit various applications and a host of safety features.

The Outback is their premium model, which is absolutely stacked with features. It’s offered in both single and double seat options and each comes standard with a bike mount and a stroller wheel. Hamax also offers an optional larger front wheel, complete with disc brake, which turns the Outback into an all-terrain jogger.

The clear and easy to understand connection point makes swapping set-ups super easy on the Outback trailer.

Swapping modes is made simple with their unique ‘Safe Connection Point’. It shows an obvious red indicator when disengaged or green when the attachment secured, making it simple and safe for the consumer to use.

The sturdy but light alloy frame features independent suspension to enhance both passenger comfort and the stability of the trailer on uneven terrain. An ergonomically designed, height adjustable push handle improves user comfort and the Outback features a large storage compartment for groceries and other items.

Reclining seats, plush padding and five-point harnesses makes the Outback trailer both safe and comfortable.

The 600D polyester cover keeps the occupants dry while the windows can be swapped between insect mesh, sunshade or clear plastic to suit the conditions. Comfortable reclining seats and a five-point safety harnesses are also standard on the Outback and the trailer folds flat for easy storage and transport. Available in either blue/white or red/black, the single Outback retails for $1,549 while the double sells for $1,699.

Hamax offers the Traveller as their more affordable trailer option, it shares many features of the Outback in a lighter simpler package.

The Traveller may be their entry model but it shares a number of features with the Outback. It too comes standard with both bike and stroller attachments, a five-point harness and adaptable windows with sunshade, insect mesh or clear waterproof panels. You also get extra storage underneath and it too folds flat for easy storage. While it lacks the suspension, Safe Connection Point and optional jogger attachment, the Traveller is a more affordable option at $949 and is offered in either green/grey or blue/grey.
