BMX International Has Space to Spare – For Now

Anyone for tennis?

BMX International could have gone into the indoor sports business just before Christmas 2020 when this photo was taken.

Managing Director Scott Shepherd, pictured here with plenty of elbow room, said that this warehouse normally holds 5,000 BMX bikes but at that time, it contained none.

He was quick to point out that they had big shipments due to arrive in January and February 2021, so that dealers could be re-supplied.

This photo does not tell the full story, because behind the wall to the right is P&A warehouse, possibly slightly larger in area, that although having some gaps, is still quite well stocked.

Scott also said that because BMX bikes are not reliant on Shimano parts compared to road or mountain bikes, the supply chain was more robust.

He said that BMX International normally carries deep stocks but that percentage-wise the increase in demand for BMX bikes was probably the biggest for any bike category.

BMX International is seeing strong demand for their in-house brand Skyway.
