Protective Clothing Specialist Signs with BikeCorp

Cape Town, South Africa

South African protective equipment brand Leatt has signed Bikecorp as its Australian distributor.

Leatt was founded in 2005 by Dr Chris Leatt, when the company entered the MTB protection market with its revolutionary neck brace that went on to win several awards in the MTB and motocross sectors.

Over the past 13 years, Leatt has released an expanding range of MTB protective equipment, all developed in its laboratory in Cape Town, South Africa. That includes an ever-evolving range of helmets, body armour, hydration systems, apparel and shoes … “whatever it takes to keep the committed thrill seeker safer”.

Bikecorp’s product manager, Neil Watson, said, Leatt’s products are “a testament to their focus on innovative technology, testing and functionality”.

“We look forward to growing the brand through our extensive national dealer network,” Neil said.

“We will also be bringing the brand to the forefront of the consumer in all areas, including digital, events, sponsored riders and retailers nationally.”

Leatt’s sales and brand manager Asia/Oceania, Geoff Wood, said with Bikecorp in the Leatt family, they would work together to “ramp up support for the very important Australian market”.

He said Bikecorp – with an established dealership network supported by an industry-leading B2B, logistics, sales and customer service teams – are of paramount importance to the Leatt brand.

“With a comprehensive head-to-toe range, targeted for all MTB riders, along with a focused brand awareness campaign, we will get our story across to the Australian market, providing riders the ‘Science of Thrill’,” Geoff added.
