Aussies at Taipei Cycle

Taipei Cycle was noticeably quieter this year.
Unlike most previous years, show organisers did not publish attendance data immediately after the show and, two weeks later, have still not responded to my direct request for information.
But for many years Australia has been a top 10 country customer for the Taiwanese bicycle industry in terms of dollar value of exports so there were still plenty of Aussies walking the show floor.
Based upon pre-registration numbers, Australia had the 10th largest number of trade members attending the show, ranked after the USA, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, UK, Germany and Hong Kong in that order.
Here are a few Aussies that I collared.

Andrew McEwin was one of three representatives from Bicycle Parts Wholesale attending the show, along with Paul McEwin and Christian Willer.

Bob Haro is certainly not Australian. The founder of Haro Bikes is born and bred USA, where he still lives. Bob was at the show to promote his new bike brand, Ikonix. He’s pictured with John Buultjens, who spent many years living in Melbourne and working in the Australian bicycle industry.
